Why Do My Legs Burn All Day

Praise of Love

Alain Badiou interviewed by Nicolas Truong throughout this book. The subject of the debate or rather the monologue because the interview comes shortly: love.
Throughout the various chapters, A. Badiou explains its philosophical vision of love, not hesitating to make a small remedial classes dropped for the philosophy. Some historical references here and there by some literary examples. And what is funny is that he starts talking about Meetic and love 'zero risk', as if love as he knew had nothing to do with our society. Chance, luck and risk do they not also a component of this love? And duration is also questioned. What a love that flies away at the first hurdle?
What bothered me most is the constant return to politics and the links it establishes between one and another.
In terms of reading, it is reads well, the structure is composed of independent parts guided by questions in the Socratic tradition ... Even if the issues are much more open and allow the interviewee to speak!
A great way to (re) making philosophy and meditate on a universal theme!
